With our call to Give, Advocate and Volunteer to improve conditions in our communities, United Way encourages acts of kindness every day. Day of Action Week, however, is a great time to do good works in a spontaneous sort of way and to bolster our intention make volunteering and other more structured acts of kindness a regular part of our life throughout the year.
“United Ways across the country and around the world join together the week of June 21st for a time of action,” states Michele Henke, Executive Director of the United Way, “United Way Day of Action Week is an invitation for people and organizations in South Central Nebraska to LIVE UNITED in our communities with random acts of kindness.”
United Way asks business and individuals to share what they did via the hashtag #DayofAction and #KindnessUnites and by posting on the United Way of South Central Nebraska Facebook page.
